I realized that I never shared my maternity shoot in it's entirety. Today marks 1 year that I had my photoshoot with the one and only Jessica Mynatt (@jmynattphotography) is still, undoubtedly, one of the best decisions I have ever made. The photos are timeless and captures one of the best moments in my life.
I didn't want to do a maternity shoot, honestly. We just had a family shoot done, so I thought that would suffice. Apparently not. LOL! Jessica, the friend, gave me all the reasons I should do one by myself. Jessica, the genius photographer, came up with the perfect concept. The only thing I required was my signature hats, my lippies, and absolutely no flowers or milk baths. LOL! I just wanted a shoot that was the epitome of Erica J. Simmons. To say she delivered just that, is an understatement.
I'm thrilled that I decided to do this for myself. Pregnancy the second time around just felt different. I was 30 and in college when I had Charlie, so my life was completely different when I was pregnant with Evie. My confidence as a woman was though the roof. My skin and hair FLOURISHED! LOL! I look at these photos and I'm always reminded that my pregnancy was so beautiful, physically and mentally. I was truly ready to meet my precious baby.
